Milan Design Week was host to Thomas Eyck’s fresh new collection, Colour- Based on Nature by leading graphic designer Irma Boom. Inspired by global UNESCO sites, the collection consists of a book and seven different wallpapers.
With a distinctive layout, the book reflects the exquisite colour palettes specific to the location from which they are derived. Comprising of an abstract colour diagram for each nature site, the book showcases and reflects upon the nature inspired colours. Perforated strips allow the collection to be interactive, mimicking a colour sample book.
From the 80 UNESCO nature sites, one colour theme has been translated into a wallpaper design. Developed in close cooperation with Eijffinger, the contemporary designs are printed on a special width 75 cm, non-woven paper.
